Exploring an abandoned cancer and infectious diseases hospital in Northern Ireland
Video filmed by an 'Urbex' explorer shows the creepy scene in a long-abandoned cancer and infectious diseases hospital in Northern Ireland.
The former hospital is on the outskirts of Belfast. It was an old cancer and infectious diseases hospital that specialised in treating sick children with polio, and researching cures for cancer.
There was a huge amount of equipment left inside, including an iron lung and hyperbaric chamber.
Nature is slowly reclaiming this old hospital
Urbex, short for urban exploration, is the practice of exploring typically inaccessible or derelict structures, often for the purposes of filming what is found there.
The scene was filmed on 5 July 2021.
