Policeman beaten by Pancasila Youth thugs in front of the Indonesian House of Representatives building
A traffic policeman in Jakarta, Indonesia, was beaten and chased by Pancasila Youth members outside the House of Representatives building on Thursday 25 November.
The Pancasila Youth are a far-right paramilitary organisation, known for runing death squads for the Indonesian army during the Suharto dictatorship.
"It is true (a police officer was beaten)," said the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner, Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, to media.
According to Sambodo, the police officer who was injured was the Head of the Operations Section of the Polda Metro Jaya Ditlantas, AKBP Dermawan Karosekali. He suffered a head injury in the attack.
