Tokyo attack: Ten passengers hurt as man wields knife on commuter train
Ten passengers were injured after a man attacked passengers on a train in Tokyo on Friday evening, August 6.
One woman was seriously injured, according to reports.
Video showed passengers being taken off a train that had been stopped before reaching its station, as a result of the incident.
The incident occurred on an Odakyu Line train, between Seijogakuen-mae station and Soshigaya-Okura station in Setagaya Ward at about 8:30pm local time.
The suspect who left the knife at the scene and fled was detained one and a half hours later in neighbouring Suginami Ward.
