Afghan college students talk about life after the Taliban took over
This is the difficult reality for Afghan college students in Kabul, seen on September 6. This video is from the class of Ibn-e-Sina University, where male and female students are separated by a curtain in the middle and speak on their newfound difficulties, like compulsory hijab use, even in the classroom.
From an unnamed woman in the video: "It is difficult for all citizens, especially women, to wear the hijab and put a curtain in the classroom, I do not think this will continue in the future, I Transcript: call on the government of the Islamic Emirate to pay attention to women's rights, and to allow us to work and study freely as women themselves want. We do not want to give up education or work. We want those things for women."
