Spectacular moment 4 cooling towers in Yorkshire are demolished by explosives
Today saw the remaining cooling towers demolished at a Yorkshire Power Station. Footage filmed today 10th October at Eggborough Power Station shows the 4 remaining towers being demolished by controlled explosives. A siren was sounded to begin the process, which was then followed by a warning shot and then 30 seconds later the towers were brought crashing to the ground in a cloud of dust and rubble. Roads in the nearby area were closed from 6am until after the blast at 9am. It comes after an earlier demolition of 4 other cooling towers at the power plant in North Yorkshire which were also brought down by explosives back on August 1st.
