Bodycam shows officers rescuing 5 people that were on a roof while the house of was fire

Faribault, MN - A longtime couple in Faribault just experienced some of the highest highs and lowest lows following a house fire and wedding in the same week.
Early Wednesday morning, Faribault police and fire departments rushed to a raging house fire to find a family trapped on the roof after escaping through a window.
Police were able to get them down safely, but the home and much of what was inside was destroyed … including a wedding dress — the family was just two days away from their wedding.
Determined not to let one of their worst days ruin their best, they followed through with their nuptials surrounded by family inside the Steele County commissioner boardroom — the bride was in a donated dress, and the groom was relieved to have gone back to the ruins to find the rings.
“I didn’t even know we would have the rings today, and to find those in the house this morning, [we’re] happy we’re able to actually exchange rings,” David Jones, the groom, said.
“It’s been difficult, trying to get excited for today,” the bride, now Carolyn Jones, said, adding, “It’s been very difficult, but now that we’re here, and we’ve done it, it’s, I feel so over the moon [we’re] happy and excited for us to rebuild our life as husband and wife, nonetheless, right?”
