Police bodycam footage shows police confront teen with huge knife

Barry, UK - Two people have been arrested after a teenager was found with a knife in his waistband. Officers from South Wales Police were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of youths in a residential area in Barry on October 13, just after 4pm.
The witness also reported that they believed that one of the young people had a weapon. Officers detained a 17-year-old boy matching the description in Main Street, Barry, and he was found to have a knife stashed in his waistband.
While the officer removed the knife from the youth, a man intervened, assaulted the officer, and the knife fell to the floor.
The man was arrested and later convicted of two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, and possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place. He received a community order.
The 17-year-old boy was arrested a few days later on October 16 and charged shortly after with possessing a knife blade / sharp-pointed article in a public place.
On November 11, the teen received a nine-month referral order following his guilty plea.
