Two suspects arrested after CHP air unit tracked them down near the railroad tracks
By: Early this morning, CHP H-32 responded to assist Hayward CHP Officers with a pursuit that exited 98th ave in Oakland.
H-32 arrived overhead as officers terminated the pursuit due to the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on city streets.
H-32 was able to quickly locate the vehicle as the suspect continued to drive next to railroad tracks. After abandoning the vehicle, H-32 directed officers to the occupants' location, where both were arrested. A DMV check on the vehicle revealed that it was stolen.
Hayward CHP will be investigating this incident.
