Video shows Bay Area K-9 get head stuck in traffic cone
-----
San Carlos, CA - A K-9 with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office was caught on camera fighting with a traffic cone when it flipped onto its head.
The sheriff’s office shared the video on Facebook, saying, “Sometimes Mondays hit different… like when your K-9 partner gets his head stuck in a traffic cone.”
San Mateo deputies said K-9 Adonis is “perfectly fine (minus a little embarrassment).”
They joked that the cost of the ruined traffic cone was “on Adonis’ tab.”
The office later shared more photos and details about Adonis, a dual-purpose K-9 trained in narcotics detection and patrol.
“When he’s not being a goofball and rising to global fame, Adonis – a 4 1/2-year-old German Shepherd – and his partner, Deputy Brandt, are assigned to the City of San Carlos,” deputies said.
Adonis has served with the sheriff’s office for 3 1/2 years. He’s one of 17 dogs assigned to the K-9 unit.
“We’re so glad everyone loved (and laughed at) Adonis as much as we do!”
