Fugitive falls through ceiling while trying to avoid Taylorsville police
-----
Midvale, UT - A quiet Sunday evening turned into a chaotic scene at the Springs apartments in Midvale when a fugitive’s escape attempt quite literally came crashing down through a neighbor’s ceiling.
On Aug. 8, 2025, Taylorsville police officers were searching for a woman who allegedly rammed police cars earlier that day, according to body camera footage.
When officers arrived, they did not find the woman and spoke to her roommate, who told them that she had left. The officers began to search for her and discovered that her partner, Jeremy Jensen, was in the ceiling.
According to court documents, Jensen crawled into another apartment unit’s ceiling, where he fell through into the officer’s line of sight and was arrested without further incident.
On Nov. 24, 2025, Jenson pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the command of law enforcement and was sentenced to a year in the Salt Lake County Jail.
