Fairfield, CA - Dashcam footage captured the moments a Corvette went almost 150 mph on the freeway in Northern California.
The California Highway Patrol Solano division showed the perspective from an officer along westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield who spotted a driver zipping past traffic around 5:11 p.m. on April 15.
Video then showed the officer pursuing the white Corvette, which was seen weaving past traffic around 5:12 p.m. before pulling over to a stop at 5:14 p.m. The driver stopped their vehicle without further incident.
CHP said the driver was recorded going up to 148 mph and will likely face a license suspension and increased insurance rates.
"Speeds like this put everyone at risk," CHP said. "We’re thankful this stop happened before someone was seriously hurt or worse."
