Bodycam video shows Mesa officers rushing to evacuate burning structure

Mesa, AZ - Body-worn camera footage captured Mesa police officers rushing into a home Wednesday evening and evacuating occupants as a nearby car fire began to rapidly spread.
The edited video footage released by the police department depicts officers shouting at residents to "get out" of a structure as flames grew closer to the residence located near 78th Street and Baseline Road.
The fire originated within a vehicle before spreading to nearby brush and portions of the residence.
Mesa police said two occupants were safely removed from the home without injury and several officers were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.
The fire is considered to be "non-suspicious" and didn't damage the neighboring residences. No firefighters were seriously injured during the incident.
