Sideshow suspect believing he eluded CHP by getting into another vehicle during pursuit is arrested

A California Highway Patrol helicopter helped the Vallejo Police Department capture a driver who was involved in a sideshow before leading officers on a pursuit.

It happened Sunday night when H-30 with CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations spotted the vehicle doing donuts in an intersection.

H-30's crew directed the Vallejo officers to the location, but the driver took off and led them on a pursuit from Vallejo to Richmond.

The driver parked the vehicle involved in the sideshow and got into another vehicle that was waiting for him.

H-30 directed Richmond police officers to the second vehicle.

The police pulled the car over and arrested the first suspect.
