Brazilian prisoners dig tunnel and escape

Twelve inmates broke out of a prison in southern Brazil on Tuesday after digging an escape tunnel, local authorities said.

Police immediately recaptured five of the inmates who took part in the prison break in Pato Branco, a town in Parana state, which borders Argentina, according to the Parana Militarized Police.

Security cameras recorded the inmates climbing out of a tunnel at one of the facility's health centers.
