Benton County Deputy gives up chase after Mustang driver accelerates away by going 100+mph

Benton County, WA - A man wanted on an outstanding felony warrant was arrested on Saturday after eluding police in a high-speed chase across the Tri-Cities.
According to a social media post from the Benton County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted to stop a black Ford for driving with no license plates, but the car drove off at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour.
BCSO said they immediately halted the traffic stop attempt "because of the risk to the public and the laws surrounding vehicle pursuits in WA."
The car was then independently seen by Kennewick police officers a few minutes later, BCSO said, continuing to allegedly drive recklessly.
"Following, our partners from the Washington State Patrol requested an assist from the Pasco Police Department after they successfully spiked vehicle tires on a reckless black Ford Mustang," BCSO said.
The car came to a stop near the campus of Columbia Basin College, and an unknown passenger fled the scene on foot.
The driver was identified as Isaiah Kosgei, who had an outstanding felony warrant out of Pasco for an unrelated instance of eluding a police vehicle and a suspended driver's license.
He is being held under a $5,000 bail.
