Nashville, TN - The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) shared on Monday a video of a truck crashing into one of its cruisers during a traffic stop on an interstate in Nashville.

THP said the crash happened last week on Interstate 40 in Nashville — as the highways remained hazardous due to snow on the ground. The agency said the trooper stopped a speeding driver.

At one point, the trooper asked, "97 in a 70? What's the reason for that?" Seconds later, a white truck smashed the trooper's cruiser from behind — "nearly pinning him between the guardrail and the stopped car," THP said.

Fortunately, THP said, the trooper was able to walk away.
