Police pursuit ends as driver dives off bridge into Table Rock Lake

Kimberling City, MO - About 2 a.m. early Saturday morning, July 18, 2026, Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on the north end of Kimberling City, Mo.
The driver fled south and stopped on the Kimberling City bridge, exited his vehicle, and dove headfirst over the side.
The Stone County Sheriff’s Office shared DASHCAM video of the driver slowing on the bridge, opening the driver door, and simply diving off the bridge into the darkness!
On the radio you can hear, “Contact Water Patrol; he just jumped over the bridge.”
The male, was taken into custody a little while later. He resisted arrest, and Deputies suffered minor injuries, adding to additional charges.
“This was definitely a first, and luckily he survived the fall.“

Gavin Thor Lundgren is being held on the following charges in the Stone County Jail.
* Resisting Arrest (Fleeing)
* C&I Driving
* 3X Assault 3rd (Police Officer)
* Resisting/Interfering Arrest for Felony
