It was reported that the suspect entered an occupied residence at 3 a.m. and fled when confronted.

After an extensive track by K-9 Toki, suspect Jon Winter (DOB 6/20/1975, of Edgewater) was found hiding in a storage closet of another residence.
Winter was treated on scene for minor dog bite injuries to his arm and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail, where he remains in custody with no bond as of this writing.
