Dirt Floor Engineering - Leaf Springs
Back to The Stan.. in a land where if you do not have a job you literally go hungry for there is no welfare/benefit net to catch the unwary and unlucky in life so these guys are well pleased to be earning a wage. What was once the preserve of western machine shops is no more.. now, so-called 'emerging nations' formerly known as 'Third World Countries' pick up a lot of the heavier factory work like this firm here in Karachi who manufactures the heavy duty leaf springs for the HINO Brand of trucks from Japan. Out there HINO's are as ubiquitous as Fords were to Europe/the USA sort-of.. so there is work/money to be had for many years..
the only real critique is the lack of personal protection such as masks for the chap doing the paint spraying. It'll be ok for a few years or so until a persistent cough takes hold and he'll find out why he should have worn a respirator... unfortunately.
