A woman is upset after being pulled over by Deputy Frank Sloup
-----
Pinal County, AZ - Deputy Frank Sloup at the Pinal County Sheriff's Office shared a video that features a woman he pulled over. It's clear from the moment that he pulls up to her window that she isn't going to be happy with whatever comes next.
The officer immediately breaks it down that he stopped her for three completely different reasons that he had observed prior. What really makes the video interesting is that the driver of the vehicle that was stopped doesn't seem to believe the officer's reasoning.
In fact, she calls him disrespectful for simply telling her matter-of-factly that she violated various traffic laws. You can quite literally hear the woman say, "You are a disrespectful person."
At one point, the officer even goes back into his vehicle to begin filling out the appropriate paperwork, where you can see his reasoning justified. It's too bad that she continued to make things worse for herself when he came back with her driver's license and registration.
Deputy Sloup had his bodycam on for the entirety of the altercation, in which you can hear the woman in the vehicle he stopped getting aggressive with him. He explains that the three reasons he stopped her were for not having her headlights on, for speeding 20 miles over the speed limit, and for not coming to a complete stop before making a right turn at a red light.
However, as a result of his delivery of this information, the woman became aggravated, continuously calling him rude and disrespectful. While he didn't sugarcoat the situation, I wouldn't consider his delivery to be disrespectful at all.
While he is explaining the reasons for the stop to her, he mentions that the speeding was considered criminal. At this point, the woman gets angry at the officer, stating that she doesn't believe him or the accusations.
Despite being called rude and disrespectful several times, Deputy Sloup went back to his cruiser to prepare the necessary paperwork for the citation. It was at this point that he pointed the camera at the speedometer that clocked the woman's car as going 57 miles per hour.
When he got out of his vehicle and back to her window, she must have taken the time to think about the situation, because she was only angrier. She even made a point to say that she doesn't need to have her headlights on because she can still see.
However, in Arizona, the law is that headlights need to be turned on once the sun can no longer be seen over the horizon, not when it officially becomes dark.
Various commenters jumped into the replies of the Facebook video to share their opinions, with many pointing directly at the woman. At one point in the video, she claims to be going through a divorce, to which viewers picked up on, and one replied with, "I think we now know at least one of the reasons she got a divorce.
Similarly, another person replied with, "That husband is escaping that just in time." Others were very aware of her negligence, with a different comment reading, "The sun is out, I shouldn't have to have my headlights"......your ability to see is not the only reason to have headlights...other people have to see you too."
The woman quickly sped off after receiving her citation, and Deputy Sloup walked back to his vehicle, stunned at the situation.
