Toledo officer rescuing a woman who needs to use a walker from a burning home.

Toledo, OH - Video shows the officer enter the door to the house and call out to the residents, asking for their location. There was heavy smoke and intense heat in the home, police said, making it hard to see inside.
“Hearing a woman’s voice from deeper inside the home, he forced open a blocked door, moved debris obstructing the entrance, and found the resident holding onto her walker,” the department said of the incident.
The officer then tells the woman inside to put her walker down, promising that he would carry her out of the home as flames spread.
“Ma’am, come with me. I’m trying to help you - we’ve got to get out, you’re going to die,” the officer warned.
Once the officer pulled her out of the home, he asked if there was anyone else inside. The woman’s brother was at the home. The officer called for additional help from fire crews to rescue the man inside.
Body camera footage later shows the woman thanking the officer for saving her.
