Road-Roller Restoration
By: As they say in The Stan - nothing is ever wasted.. even an old g clamp is useful - even if it busted.. someone will fix it - often with the most basic of tools - with some of 'em being home-made.
Here's an old worn out Road Roller which in the west would have been scrapped and melted down but not here in The Stan.. it's broken down to it's component parts put back together a quick lick of enamel paint and put the bastad back to work..
After a quick (goggle-eyed) search an old machine of this type is around the 25,000 $ and £ mark.. roughly about the same.. seeing though they have plenty of replacement lumps and gear-boxes laying about they are in a good position to supply the large market of road-roller users..
Gotta love the paint-shop area between the tractor unit and the trailers.. talk about Dirt Floor Workshops.. still, it it works and provides the dollars then all is well!
