Prairie Village police show grappler apprehending stolen truck

Prairie Village, KS - The grappler police bumper was put to use again recently in Prairie Village to bring a stolen truck suspect into custody.

The Prairie Village Police Department shared video Monday of the incident, which happened Thursday night just before 10 p.m.

Video from a dash cam showed the police following the stolen vehicle as it passed by 79th Street.

After the grappler was used, the truck came to a halt and the suspect opened the front door of the truck, stepping out of the vehicle with his hands in the air.

Police said the tool safely made the stop and resulted in an arrest for multiple individuals who possessed meth and stolen property.
