Traffic stop turns quickly into a fentanyl arrest

Hillsborough County, FL - A woman was arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of illegal drugs.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the traffic stop occurred just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Body-camera footage released by the sheriff’s office showed the deputy telling the driver she failed to stop at two stop signs.
As the driver was getting her license, the deputy spotted a clear plastic bag containing a white powder in her wallet.
The deputy then grabbed the driver’s wallet, asked her to exit her vehicle and placed her in handcuffs.
Video then showed the deputy opening the wallet and asking the driver, “Is that fentanyl?” The driver nodded her head and replied, “Yes, sir.”
The substance later tested positive for 7.6 grams of fentanyl.
The driver, whose name was not released, was arrested for trafficking four to 14 grams of fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia.
