Deputy LaFoucade, Sgt. Zimmerer and the East Volusia Crime Suppression Team were out on proactive patrols Thursday in Daytona Beach looking for wanted fugitive Cedric Beasley. When spotted on a traffic stop, Beasley took off on a foot race, but was apprehended shortly thereafter by LaFoucade.

Beasley (DOB 2/17/1985) was arrested on his warrants for throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle, felony battery, grand theft, and tampering with a witness, as well as a new charge of resisting a law enforcement officer without violence. He was treated on scene by Fire Rescue for an abrasion to his right and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail, where he later posted $32,000 bond and was released Thursday night.
