Bodycam video shows suspect resisting arrest, trading blows with Horizon PD officer

Horizon City, TX - A 21-year-old Horizon man has been in jail since March after he allegedly got into a fight with a police officer-- all caught on bodycam and shared on social media.
According to the Horizon City Police Department, on March 28, Javier Flores reportedly ignored orders, resisted arrest and traded blows with an officer after a domestic violence call at a home located on the 14000 block of Desierto Bello Avenue.
The responding officer met with the people who reported the assault and identified Flores as the suspect.
The officer spotted Flores and asked him to step outside.
In the bodycam video shared by Horizon PD, you can see the officer grab Flores' arm, escort him outside, before Flores pulls away, gets into-- what could be described as a-- fighting stance and then gets into a struggle with the officer.
Both fall into the ground where the scuffle continues.
Eventually, more officers arrive and Flores is subdued and handcuffed.
On Wednesday, Horizon PD shared bodycam video, writing,
An individual resists against an officer attempting to investigate a domestic violence incident. The officer had to resort to use of force in order to gain control over the individual.
According to jail records, Flores was booked into the El Paso County Jail Annex, where he was charged with assaulting a peace officer and where, as of Thursday afternoon, he remains jailed under a $6,000 bond.
