Orlando, FL - Video released Monday by Orlando police show a downtown confrontation last month between two people that led to a man firing a shot into the air, and officers subsequently shooting and killing him.

Johnathan Flores, 38, was shot and killed April 20 by Orlando police officers outside a downtown Orlando restaurant.

The video released from the OPD Crime Center is surveillance video from about 1:30 a.m. outside the Thrive Cocktail Lounge and Eatery. The video shows someone, believed to be Flores, get into a fight, and during the confrontation, a gun falls out of his pants. The video then shows him picking up the gun.

Moments later, the man can be seen shooting the gun once into the air, and people nearby are seen running away.

Police also released three body-worn cameras, which show the officers approaching the man with their guns drawn.

In the videos, the man is bent over to pick up something and is commanded to put his hands up. He looks behind him at the officers, with the gun still in his hand when the officers open fire.

Flores was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
