4 Washington officers hurt after driver in stolen semi rams police vehicles

Everett, WA - A stolen semitruck led police on a dangerous chase through south Everett early Thursday, leaving four officers with minor injuries and the driver in custody.
At about 6:21 a.m., an employee called to report that his semitruck had been stolen from a Safeway at 1715 Broadway.
Snohomish County deputies quickly spotted the truck and saw it enter southbound Interstate 5.
The truck got off the freeway at the 112th Park and Ride and traveled into the Silver Lake area.
Deputies tried to stop the truck near Silver Lake Road and 118th Place Southeast, but the driver began ramming patrol cars and trying to get away from deputies, police said.
An Everett officer who was in the area on an unrelated call was struck by the semitruck while seated inside his vehicle.
Multiple Everett officers responded as the stolen truck continued to flee, striking patrol cars, authorities said.
The truck came to rest in the 1100 block of A. Sater Road, where the driver was taken into custody.
Four Everett police officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The suspect, a man in his 30s, remains in custody.
