Thousands of starlings swirl mesmerisingly around UK pier

Just after sunrise on Saturday (October 17th) thousands of starlings appeared to burst from the Royal Pier in Aberystwyth in Wales in the UK.

The huge flock or murmuration swirled overhead to the delight of filmer Rose Voon.
