Juvenile arrested after leading police on 115 mph chase

Thurston County, WA - The Thurston County Sheriff's Office arrested a juvenile after leading deputies and Lacey police on a high-speed chase Sunday.
TCSO Detective Sgt. Alan Clark told The Olympian Monday that Lacey police observed a stolen vehicle around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday near Steilacoom Road and Marvin Road.
He said police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, and the vehicle took off. The vehicle failed to yield, and a TCSO deputy took over the pursuit.
Clark said the pursuit continued down Martin Way at high speeds, reaching speeds of approximately 115 miles per hour.
He said a TCSO deputy conducted a successful spike of the vehicle's tires, which brought its speeds down enough for another deputy to initiate a pursuit intervention technique, or a PIT maneuver, to stop the vehicle on Sleater Kinney Road Southeast near Interstate 5.
Clark said the driver appeared to be a juvenile and was taken into custody without incident. He was unable to confirm the juvenile's age. He said the suspect was booked into Thurston County Family & Juvenile Court on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding a pursuing police vehicle.
Clark said two additional juvenile passengers were present in the vehicle. He said their parents were called to take them home, and there were no injuries during the incident.
