Passed out armed man in a vehicle is arrested with the assistance of a drone

An OCSO drone was a useful tool for deputies in a recent incident with an armed suspect.

When deputies responded to a vehicle burglary call, they discovered an unresponsive, armed man in a car. Was he sleeping? Passed out? Dead?
Instead of deputies approaching the suspect, a drone with a camera was sent to investigate.

As the drone operator observed in real time, deputies were able to monitor the suspect from a safe distance and call out to him. The suspect eventually woke up and was arrested without incident.
