Police bodycam shows rescue of 3-month-old locked inside car

White Plains, TX - A 3-month-old baby is safe after being rescued from a locked vehicle in a parking garage near the White Plains Target.

Police bodycam video shows officers responding after the infant was accidentally locked inside the car.

"They were in the area. They recognized the urgency of the call, responded right away. We believe this was just an unfortunate accident, which can happen to anybody," said White Plains Public Safety Capt. Vincenzo Battaglia.

Police said officers were able to get both the child and the vehicle's keys out within two minutes.

"This is just a testament to our officers," said White Plains PBA Lt. John Guastella.

The baby was quickly reunited with its mother.

No injuries were reported.
