Bodycam footage shows the rescue of a 3-year-old child by Gilbert SWAT member

Gilbert, AZ - A child is safe after a harrowing incident with Gilbert SWAT in June, the town's police department said.
On June 13, police received a call about a gun being fired inside a home. According to police, the caller was not home at the time, but her 3-year-old child was inside. She called to express concern for the child's safety.
Police said the suspect, a 40-year-old man, indicated he would not surrender peacefully. With this information, Gilbert PD's SWAT Team responded and assessed the situation.
As the situation deteriorated, a crisis entry was authorized into the home, police said. The department shared video of the dramatic incident.
The response led to the rescue of the child and the detainment of the suspect, who faces several felony charges.
No one was injured during the incident.
