Video shows suspect firing at drone, SWAT pinning tractor during standoff

Clackamas County, OR - Video shows the moment Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT ended a standoff with a man accused of shooting at tree workers.
Just before 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 29, deputies were called to South Rocky Bluff Lane in rural Oregon City on the report of a neighbor, later identified as 53-year-old Erik Gordon Shunn, shooting at workers cutting trees near his property. Witnesses reported Shunn had fired about 20 rounds at the workers.
After a brief standoff, Shunn was taken into custody at around 3:45 p.m. The sheriff’s office says SWAT members pinned the tractor Shunn was driving by his home after he became separated from his rifle.
The sheriff’s office said investigators now believe Shunn fired over 200 rounds on Saturday, including shots fired at the tree workers and rounds fired into the air at a drone.
None of the workers were hurt.
On Monday, Aug. 31, Shunn was arraigned on multiple charges, including:
* Second-degree attempted murder
* First-degree attempted assault
* Recklessly endangering
* Unlawful use of a weapon
* Menacing
* Unlawful possession of firearms
* First-degree criminal mischief
* Interfering with a peace officer
Shunn is being held without bail at the Clackamas County Jail.
