Lewisville, TX - Police chased a stolen car into Dallas last month, where they arrested the suspect. Now, officials have released dash cam video showing the high-speed pursuit.
Kaiden Marquise Steger, 21, allegedly stole a car on May 25 in Carrollton, said Lewisville Police Officer Tre Mathis. Police found the suspect, leading them to a pursuit into Dallas. Officers ultimately arrested Steger.
According to jail records, Steger was booked into the Denton County Jail on May 26. He faces charges for unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest with a vehicle, and driving while intoxicated. Steger posted a bond and was released on May 31.
The Carrollton Police Department requested the Lewisville Police Department’s help to “locate a stolen vehicle” last seen in Lewisville. Lewisville officers found the vehicle, but the suspect fled.
“LPD officers initiated a pursuit that demanded sharp focus, exceptional coordination, and quick decision-making,” the Facebook post reads. “Despite the risks, they stayed on course and ultimately helped bring the situation to a safe resolution.”
The pursuit concluded in Dallas, where the suspect pulled into a parking lot. A canine unit soon found and arrested Steger.
