Bettendorf, IA - During a recent proactive patrol, our 3rd Shift officers located a suspected stolen vehicle. When they attempted to stop the car, the driver began driving erratically and even maneuvered as if to enter the I-74 off-ramp going the wrong way—posing a serious danger to the public.

Recognizing the immediate risk, officers utilized intentional vehicle contact to safely disable the suspect’s vehicle.

Thanks to their training and quick decision-making, the pursuit was brought to an end in just over one minute, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
