Whitefish Bay police help free dog from jar, trying to get last treat

Whitefish, WI - Lil Murphy would not be denied, trying to get the last Milk-Bone treat in the jar.

Unfortunately, he got his head stuck in the jar because of it.

The Whitefish Bay Police Department said his owners tried getting the jar off of his head for over an hour. They tried taking him to a veterinarian, but they were closed.

Murphy's owners then turned to the police station for help.

Police said officers Potthast and Streeter did a "paw-esome" job of cutting the jar off of Murphy to free him.
