Bodycam footage released of rescue after I-70 crash

Wentzville, MO - The Wentzville Fire Protection District released footage of firefighters successfully helping the driver of a vehicle on its side after an accident on Interstate 70.

The driver had lost control of the vehicle on westbound I-70 on Thursday morning. Firefighters were able to rescue the driver with minor injuries, who was then transported to a local hospital.

Wentzville police officer, Jacob Schmidt, says they took the initial 911 call and is proud to work with his brothers and sisters in uniform, “Our victim was certainly scared, the Fire Department did a fantastic job getting him out with no injuries, and we were able to get him out of the vehicle and get him some medical attention.”
