Dash, bodycam shows St. Bernard officer arrested for obstructing official business during traffic stop
By: Newly released body camera footage shows the arrest of a local police officer.
Michael Matheson was cited for obstructing official business after he allegedly refused to cooperate with commands by Wyoming Police.
Matheson is a sergeant with St. Bernard Police.
Police were initially called, his wife told them he was intoxicated and refused to leave during an argument following a Halloween party early Sunday morning.
According to a police report, Matheson left the home in his truck after she called 911.
Matheson was spotted by an officer who conducted a traffic stop.
The report states he refused to follow commands to put his hands in the air, behind his back and to get on the ground.
Eventually he was taken into custody, and released to a family member.
St. Bernard Police issued a statement that they could not comment, but there is an investigation.
