A livestream captured the horror of onlookers as they watched flash floods sweep through a valley in northern India.

Footage from February 7 shows water furiously gushing through the valley in Chamoli, Uttarakhand after a glacier burst a dam.

Fear gripped the locals as they watched the debris engulf several buildings below.
