Dash camera video shows Kansas officer hit head-on by teen driver

Lawrence, KS - An officer’s dash camera video shows the moment he was hit head-on by a teen driver.
It happened on Friday, May 29, in Lawrence, Kansas.
Police said an officer was responding to a call around 11:30 p.m. when the collision occurred.
Video shows a teen suspect driving directly into the front of the officer’s patrol car.
“He rammed me with his car,” you can hear the officer tell dispatch.
The officer got the suspect in custody after using a taser.
After the crash, officers learned the teen had been huffing chemicals before getting in his car.
Police said he drove into his father’s parked truck before driving into the officer’s patrol vehicle. Another car on the street was also damaged.
The teen faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
Incredibly, the police officer was unhurt.
