Gwinnett County, GA - Gwinnett County police said they’ve arrested a suspect wanted for attempted armed robberies in Gwinnett and Cobb counties.

In late January, police asked the public for help identifying the suspect, who allegedly tried to rob two check-cashing businesses, one in unincorporated Duluth on Jan. 14 and another in Smyrna two days later.

On Friday, Gwinnett police said they’d arrested the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Trevon Hogges of Buford, after they saw him driving a stolen car on Feb. 26.

Police said Hogges sped away after they tried to pull him over, leading to a chase. They said Hogges then crashed the car and tried to run away, but was quickly caught.

He’s been charged with aggravated assault, reckless driving, fleeing, theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to police.
