A smuggler led DPS Troopers on a high-speed pursuit in Webb County. The driver eventually bailed out and was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

The Laredo man told Troopers he was being paid $600 to smuggle three illegal immigrants into the country. He was arrested and charged with smuggling of persons and evading arrest.

The three illegal immigrants were able to evade capture.
