everyone in the world knows about the 'V' Bombers which were once in the front line of Britain's nuclear deterrent. They were part of the famous 617 Squadron or better known as the Dam-busters. However, once Polaris missiles came along the use of the plane-borne deterrent became a thing of the past...this short film follows the pilots and airmen on their very last matter of fact flying/training sortie before the lot was 'stood down, turned off, with the keys returned to the Guard House' - apparently some of the 'V Force' planes were broken up for scrap :-{{
