Newly released video from the Seattle Police Department (SPD) shows officers arresting a 15 and 17-year-old who committed an armed carjacking before leading officers on a cross-city pursuit earlier this month.

Police said at around 7:46 p.m. on April 12, officers responded to the 9200 block of 35th Ave Southwest for a report of an armed carjacking. When officers arrived at the scene, the carjacking victim reported two suspects robbed them at gunpoint and took their white Audi SUV.

The suspects, according to police, fled the scene in a dark-colored Hyundai they originally drove, as well as the victim's Audi. Officers were able to locate the victim's car at Southwest 112th and 15th Ave. Southwest, where the Audi was found unoccupied, police said.

The SPD said officers later spotted the suspects' Hyundai and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspects sped away. Police said this is when a pursuit was authorized.

The King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) and Washington State Patrol (WSP) were also involved in the pursuit throughout Seattle and Burien, according to police.

Police said the suspects eventually stopped the car and ran into a nearby Ravine. KCSO's Guardian 1 helicopter was able to find where the suspects were hiding, which is where officers began a K-9 track into the ravine.

Both teens were found and eventually arrested for robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding a police vehicle, unlawful possession of firearms, and taking a motor vehicle without permission, police said.

The two teenagers were booked into the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center.

Police said one gun was also found, along with other items the suspects tossed out as they tried to run away. The cars were taken for processing.

It is currently unknown if the Hyundai the teenagers were in was stolen.
