Bodycam video shows arrest of women accused of arson in her bedroom

Providence, RI - Providence police released bodycam video that shows the arrest of a woman accused of starting a fire in her bedroom earlier this month.
According to police, officers responded to a residence on Prairie Avenue at around 1:38 a.m. on Oct. 6 for a report of property damage.
Officers were told that a resident, 46-year-old Crystal Abreu, had started a fire inside her bedroom.
Bodycam video shows a nightstand in her bedroom engulfed in flames.
Abreu is seen attempting to flee as an officer and neighbors tried to extinguish the fire.
She was taken into custody in the stairway.
The video shows neighbors and bystanders stepping in to help extinguish the fire before it could spread.
The property owner told NBC 10 earlier this month that he called the police as Abreu and another tenant got into a loud dispute.
When officers arrived at the scene, Abreu allegedly escalated the situation inside her second-floor apartment, he said.
Abreu is facing a charge of first-degree arson.
