A woman arrested for assault, harassment, and drug charges on the Lewis and Clark Bridge

Longview, WA - A Tennessee woman faces multiple criminal charges after police said she ran from officers along the Lewis and Clark Bridge, climbed onto a railing, and threw a container at them on Sept. 18.
Longview police officers were called to the bridge after receiving reports of a woman standing on the railings. According to police, Crystal L. Griffin, 36, of Chattanooga, ran when officers arrived and climbed onto the bridge structure.
Investigators said Griffin threatened officers as they tried to calm the situation, tried to hit them, and threw an open container that struck the officers.
Griffin was arrested and booked on suspicion of third-degree assault, felony harassment, disorderly conduct, and possession of a controlled substance after police reported finding fentanyl in her possession.
