Suspect arrested after a traffic stop led to a pursuit and drugs

Early this morning, a deputy attempted a traffic stop where the suspect fled at a high rate of speed. The deputy did not initiate a pursuit. The Eagle was already up at the time and began tracking the vehicle.

With no deputies in sight, the suspect crashed into a stop sign (initially thought to be a vehicle) then took off on foot through alleys and backyards before he reached the front of a residence.

Thanks to the teamwork between flight and ground units, the suspect was taken into custody and charged with Fleeing & Eluding, two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, No Valid Driver’s License, and Resisting without Violence.
