Bodycam footage shows West Seneca police officer evacuating resident from house fire

West Seneca, NY - New bodycam footage shows the moments a West Seneca police officer rushed into a burning home to evacuate residents.
According to the West Seneca Police Department, the fire started at a home on Osgood Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, which then spread to a neighboring house.
The footage, released by the WSPD on Monday, shows the officer running over to the neighboring home. The officer then enters the home, and helps a resident with mobility limitations, WSPD said in a statement.
The homeowner of the home where the fire originated safely evacuated as well, and was treated for a minor burn. Both residents of the affected homes are receiving assistance with from the American Red Cross.
According to WSPD, the fire is under investigation, and damaged the attached garage, living area and attic of the first home, and caused "extensive damage" to the neighboring home.
