Volusia police chase ends with arrest of a suspect that was had 57 grams of fentanyl

An attempted traffic stop ended as a drug arrest in Volusia County.

And it was all caught on camera.

According to the Volusia Sheriff's Office, on March 2, Damion Bletcher, 42, fled an attempted traffic stop and crashed into an occupied vehicle. He then took off on foot but was quickly apprehended.

When deputies searched the vehicle, they found about 57 grams of fentanyl, 47 grams of powder cocaine, 4 grams of crack cocaine, 3 grams of MDMA, along with drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Bletcher was charged with reckless fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement causing injury, leaving the scene of a crash with injury, trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine, possession of MDMA, possession of cannabis with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended/revoked.

Deputies said he was also arrested on several open warrants for failure to appear on charges including child abuse, felony battery, criminal mischief, resisting and driving with a suspended license.

The person in the vehicle that Bletcher crashed into was taken to the hospital.
